What the stash tracks
My Stash records ownership only — each thread is either marked as owned or it is not. There are no quantities, no skein counts, and no project-level tracking. When you mark a shade, a ✓ owned badge appears on that thread across every tool page in Stitchers Suite, so you always know what you already have before buying more.
Your stash is not linked to any account or server. It is stored entirely in your browser and persists across sessions on the same device, so you can close the tab and come back later without losing anything.
Marking threads as owned
Click or tap any swatch to toggle it between owned and unowned. For bulk additions, use the Import button and paste a list of thread codes. Once you have started building your collection, use the filter tabs to narrow your view:
- All — shows the full range for the selected brand.
- Owned ✓ — shows only the threads you have marked.
- Missing — shows threads you have not yet marked, handy for building a shopping list.
Switch between the DMC and Anchor brand tabs to mark threads in each range. You can also narrow results by colour family using the chips: White, Pink, Red, Purple, Blue, Green, Yellow, Orange, Brown, Beige, Grey, Black, and Skin.
The Thread Drawer — your stash, everywhere
The Thread Drawer is the compact panel that appears at the top of this page and on every other tool page. It shows your total owned count and, on tool pages like the Colour Matcher and Palette Builder, it flags which threads in your results you already own. That way you can plan a project around what you have before ordering anything new.
Importing a thread list
The Import function accepts thread codes pasted one per line or comma-separated. Three formats are recognised:
- Just the number —
3722 - Brand prefix —
DMC 3722 - Number and name —
3722 – Med Shell Pink
Codes are imported into the currently active brand tab. If you have a list from the other brand and need to convert it first, use the Thread Converter before importing.
Copying your thread lists
The Copy DMC list and Copy Anchor list buttons copy your owned threads as plain text, one code per line. Only owned threads are included. This is useful for sharing your collection with another stitcher, keeping a backup, or pasting into a project planner or spreadsheet.
Your data
My Stash does not require an account. All data is stored in your browser’s local storage and persists between sessions on the same device. Be aware that clearing your browser cache or cookies may erase your stash data — use the Copy buttons to save a backup before clearing your browser, and re-import the list afterwards.
If you use Stitchers Suite on more than one device, each device maintains its own separate stash. The Clear all stash data button removes all ownership marks for both DMC and Anchor in one step and cannot be undone, so export your lists first if you want to keep a record.
