My Stash

Track your DMC and Anchor thread collection

Browse 456 DMC and 420 Anchor solid shades, mark what you own, and your collection appears across every Stitchers Suite tool. Use it at your desk while planning a project, or open it on your phone next to the thread rack. No account, no sign-in — your stash lives in your browser.

What the stash tracks

My Stash records ownership only — each thread is either marked as owned or it is not. There are no quantities, no skein counts, and no project-level tracking. When you mark a shade, a ✓ owned badge appears on that thread across every tool page in Stitchers Suite, so you always know what you already have before buying more.

Your stash is not linked to any account or server. It is stored entirely in your browser and persists across sessions on the same device, so you can close the tab and come back later without losing anything.

Marking threads as owned

Click or tap any swatch to toggle it between owned and unowned. For bulk additions, use the Import button and paste a list of thread codes. Once you have started building your collection, use the filter tabs to narrow your view:

  • All — shows the full range for the selected brand.
  • Owned ✓ — shows only the threads you have marked.
  • Missing — shows threads you have not yet marked, handy for building a shopping list.

Switch between the DMC and Anchor brand tabs to mark threads in each range. You can also narrow results by colour family using the chips: White, Pink, Red, Purple, Blue, Green, Yellow, Orange, Brown, Beige, Grey, Black, and Skin.

The Thread Drawer — your stash, everywhere

The Thread Drawer is the compact panel that appears at the top of this page and on every other tool page. It shows your total owned count and, on tool pages like the Colour Matcher and Palette Builder, it flags which threads in your results you already own. That way you can plan a project around what you have before ordering anything new.

Importing a thread list

The Import function accepts thread codes pasted one per line or comma-separated. Three formats are recognised:

  • Just the number — 3722
  • Brand prefix — DMC 3722
  • Number and name — 3722 – Med Shell Pink

Codes are imported into the currently active brand tab. If you have a list from the other brand and need to convert it first, use the Thread Converter before importing.

Copying your thread lists

The Copy DMC list and Copy Anchor list buttons copy your owned threads as plain text, one code per line. Only owned threads are included. This is useful for sharing your collection with another stitcher, keeping a backup, or pasting into a project planner or spreadsheet.

Your data

My Stash does not require an account. All data is stored in your browser’s local storage and persists between sessions on the same device. Be aware that clearing your browser cache or cookies may erase your stash data — use the Copy buttons to save a backup before clearing your browser, and re-import the list afterwards.

If you use Stitchers Suite on more than one device, each device maintains its own separate stash. The Clear all stash data button removes all ownership marks for both DMC and Anchor in one step and cannot be undone, so export your lists first if you want to keep a record.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the stash track how many skeins I have?

No. My Stash records which shades you own, not quantities. A thread is either marked as owned or it isn’t. If you need to track skeins for a specific project, keep a note separately alongside the stash export.

Can I use My Stash on my phone?

Yes. The stash is part of the Stitchers Suite web app, which is designed to work on mobile browsers. It is particularly useful in a craft shop — open My Stash, switch to the Missing tab, and you have an instant shopping reference.

Will my stash disappear if I clear my browser?

It may do. Stash data lives in your browser’s local storage, so clearing your cache or cookies could remove it. Export your list with the Copy buttons before clearing your browser, and re-import it afterwards.

Can I share my stash with another stitcher?

Not directly. However, you can use the Copy DMC list or Copy Anchor list buttons to copy your owned thread list and paste it into a message. The recipient can then use the Import function to load it into their own stash.

Can I mark threads from both DMC and Anchor in the same stash?

Yes. The DMC and Anchor ranges are tracked separately but both contribute to the Thread Drawer. Switch between brand tabs to mark threads in each range.

What if I want to start fresh?

Use the Clear all stash data button to remove all ownership marks. This applies to both DMC and Anchor in one step and cannot be undone, so export your lists first if you want to keep a record.
